The BlueGreens qualified for the 2024 U.S. Open Cup, a tournament I have watched avidly since childhood. I vividly remember watching cup matches where Minnesota United competed in the NASL as an underdog. The BlueGreens’ first-round match took place in Madison, WI, against Forward Madison FC, also known as the ‘Mingos. Having the opportunity to contribute, even in a small way, from a media perspective was an incredibly rewarding experience.
